LIVE | Storage-Packed Small Paris Apartment with Clever Mezzanine | NEVER TOO SMALLIn Paris’s lively Marx Dormoy neighbourhood, architect François Le Pivain and co-founder of sŌne Building Workshop has transformed his sister’s 33sqm/355sqft apartment into a bright, charming, space-efficient home. The renovation focused on maximising storage and natural light while maintaining a sense of openness. A continuous built-in birch plywood joinery system running from the entryway through to the living room, seamlessly integrates storage, the kitchen, and even the staircase leading to a mezzanine sleeping area. In the compact kitchen is cleverly tucked beneath the mezzanine, a large central island serves as a multifunctional space for cooking, dining, and working. Soft green and natural wood tones create a warm, inviting atmosphere, complemented by a statement wallpapered chimney.
